Hi Kelly Rae! So wonderful to be in the presence of your writing again! I can relate so much to the resistance, to the old pattern loops. I love how your possibilitarian spirit is gathering her supports, making small moves. And calling in her younger Self to help. We are all here navigating the tenderness of being human. Such a beautiful line. Sending big love. ❤️
Oh my goodness yes! calling in younger parts of myself. 17 year old me and 19 year old me. the me who was always in the garden alway sin the darkroom expressing herself through art. I need her again now. How divine it felt reading you are calling in a younger part. I love those cosmic connections. I feel less alone.
Love this, especially that line, "when the Spirit of Possibility is nurtured—even in the midst of resistance, limitation, and the beautiful mess of midlife—we move forward. Quietly, bravely." So inspiring.
I simply need to carve out time to create. To write on Substack, to write a book, to write Chinese calligraphy. Oh the joy of the future possibilities 🍵 reading with matcha in hand. Thanks for your encouragement!
Loved this description of how you have been wriggling away from writing. Made me smile!
Just listen to yet another book on writing. But still avoiding the writing.
Apart from 12 years of morning pages which is life giving, healing and is helping me find my voice.
Love that your younger self is supporting you. My younger self had disconnected from creativity and her authentic self and so she is also finding her voice. We are doing this together. Gently.
I am working on the project to create a journal for a long time now. It is almost finished. I spent a long time on it, planning it, writing it, illustrating it. I am excited about it and want to share it with others. Yet it is sitting in my drive and I am unable to decide what I am going to do with it. I like the idea to ask my younger self. I am sure my younger self would be excited about the possibilities.
Love this, Bettie. As you bring her to completion, may you celebrate all the small and big steps it's taken to usher her through. And may the next steps become clear, too! I'm excited about her possibilities, too :)

Thank you, Connie. I'm still finding my way here on Substack but I love being here with such lovely and thoughtful people like you!

Here’s to feeling less alone. Me, too :)

Carving out the time is the hardest part, right? All that resistance. I'm right there with you in the dreaming and the making time to make :)

YES. Here's to all of your selves being in it together. Seeking, finding, healing, and inching toward all that is creatively true.
